Don't trust Glowhost.com
They did not send me my login information after I paid, I had to wait weeks for it and when they did activate it there was lots of errors on my server and I kept on emailing them asking them to fix it and by the time they fixed it they had already shut down my server saying that I did not pay which is a complete BS.

Below you will find the ticket that I pasted, you will see how unprofessional they are for yourself!

Glowhost scammed me, took my money and did not offer me service.

you have two options, either send me the login information within 2 hrs from now or:

I will file for a case on bbb.org and to the local general attorny office, postings on internet blogs, and file for a chargeback dispute on the last payment you were sent from my credit card.

2 hrs countdown starts now.

First of all we sent you 15 notices via email invoice. Secondly, this invoice was available for you to see the entire month that the payment was due in your GlowHost account manager.

We have sent notices, many of them, and quite honestly, even if they did not arrive, this would be our fault why? You have the invoice available online in your account manager so it is always available and finally, you should already know your renewal date. If you claim that you never received warning about your water or electric bill, do they shut you off? Yes, they do and there is no difference in this case.

I can tell you that if you decide to charge back and slander or libel our name there will be monetary and legal ramifications.

Firstly you are threatening to chargeback monies for services that were already rendered, simply because you never paid a bill that was due to us, and you lost your account for it. How would that be fair to make me pay for your server for the services we already rendered you? First it is unethical, second it is illegal. If we see a chargeback first I am sending this account to collections for both payments, plus the $75 early termination fee, plus the $35 collections fee all outlined in the Terms of Service agreement. What you have paid now and forgot to pay will be collected, plus fees, and the ever-so-fun process of having a collections agency ring your phone all day and night until they have the money.

If our collection attempts fail we will be seeing you in Florida, for the legal proceedings since among other things, (like making your payment on time to avoid loss of services) you have agreed to this as part of your contract. Any and all legal venes will be held in Florida. So then you get to buy yourself a nice airline ticket to Florida just to be told that you owe us the money, and now you will have a criminal record. The word is fraud and do you know what happens to fraudsters? They cannot vote, and they cannot own a firearm. Employers who do a background check on you will see you as a fraudster, and you wont get any good jobs. We will also be seeking treble damages for the unpaid payment. Treble means 3x what the original bill was worth, We wont have a problem getting a favorable judgment for those treble damages, the fraud judgment would simply be icing on the cake... Do you really want to go this route?

Maybe none of this is important to you but I can tell you if I see a charge back I will see this ticket escalated to collections, then to law enforcement, then to a judge so lets not do something stupid.

As for the forums, go ahead, any publicity is good publicity. We did nothing wrong other than take back our property which you were not paying for, which was more than a month late.

as for the BBB, I will show them this ticket and your account history. They are not going to do anything anyways. They have to have numerous complaints on the same company and you would be the first one to do it since 2002 so they are going to see that it is an isolated case from an unreasonable person who is clearly upset for not taking the necessary actions to prevent loss of service, and nothing else.

If you would like another server we can set you up with one but your original server has already been formatted and resold so it would be more than 2 hours to get logins to you.

Did you want to go with the same hardware configuration and hostname?

The initial payment is for the first month's hosting and to initiate the build and provisioning of your server. After the build order is put in, it usually takes around four business days for delivery.

Hello Alex,

We don't make people wait for weeks for logins. We make people wait until they pay their invoice.

After they pay their invoice they are asked to update their ticket at the helpdesk, requesting their login details. If they do not update this ticket, then their logins may be delayed, perhaps indefinitely until they request the logins.

Per your request for logins, we do not provide logins without payment for obvious security reasons, unfortunately.

I have setup your account and your server is ready. All you need to do is:

1. Make payment
2. Update this ticket requesting your login details.

I am trying to make life easy for you and you seem to want to make it difficult for us for some reason. Why is that?

So the question is, do you want this server or not?

I have someone else who wants the same specifications and you were first in line, but we don't issue logins until we have a payment. Instead of making them wait 3-4 days for us to build them a new machine I would rather just give them the one I am holding for you today and move on with the day if you are not interested.

Your logins will be available within a few hours after payment. If you do not have them, all you need to do is respond to this ticket. But chances are they are sitting in a spam folder somewhere.

I don't understand why you think you did not have the logins for weeks after the last payment, but if you did not have them, my question is why did you not ask for them to be (re)issued? That seems extremely peculiar to me. If I spent all that money on a dedicated server I surely would be asking about my logins as soon as payment was made.

Don't forget we hosted your site for nearly a month for free and you technically still owe us for that month. I am waiving that in order to set you up with a new server, but I will repeat: Our policy is not to issue logins until a payment has been received.

Once you make the payment, update this ticket and we will get your logins to you.

If you will not be making payment today I will go ahead and resell this machine to the other party who is waiting.

I'd also like to remind you that because of the direction you have indicated that you are willing to take on this, which is some sort of ridiculous unfounded public complaint, that a $75 early termination fee and $35 collections fees will now been added to this account, along with final month of unpaid service.

This means 2 full months of dedicated server payments, the $75 early termination fee, $35 collections fee, and this is all before you decide to make a chargeback. Why 2 months? Because you did not formally cancel your service agreement, we hosted the site for one month and you have to cancel 30 days advance of your next bill date, which was never done.

If a chargeback appears on this account, this case WILL BE seen in court.

Any public slander or libel will also be brought fourth as evidence against your case. All of your threats have been logged and are already in the hands of our attorneys. I have told them to open a file on you and not to file a court order until I give them further notice.

Now lets you and me re-visit the chargeback discussion.

If this company sees a chargeback, in addition to the problems we are already going to seeking to commence against you above, we will be seeing treble damages for the chargeback, and all other fees which are owed.

Treble, in case you forgot about this term, means 3 times what you originally owed.

That is in addition to fraud charges for "Theft of Service," and I am sure we can dig something up for the slander and libel that you have indicated your intentions of spewing about the web.

Remember your case will appear in a Florida court, (refer to your contract which describes where you will be appearing) so do not forget about your hotel and airline ticket.

Did you read the part of your service contract that says when we win the case, you also pay for our legal fees? Did you know that our attorneys cost $500 per hour?

Is this starting to sound very expensive to you yet?

I hope that you have a very well paying job...clearly your experience in how the web works, how to make money on the web, and how not to get in serious trouble on the web are things you have yet to learn.

I would seriously reconsider even thinking about sending any ridiculous and unfounded problems our way.

If you think these are idle threats, refer to the Terms of Service contract to which you have digitally signed as part of having service here, and evidenced by your first payment.

Now do you understand why we do not issue logins without a payment? Did you learn anything today? Guess what? We have evidence now from your electronic payment that you were a customer, and were legally bound to this contract.

This is going to be a very expensive experiment on your part. Clearly you do not understand good business, and think that threats are a way to get a job done, or perhaps a better price.

Terrorists also have a similar belief that if you threaten people enough, they will cave in to your demands.

That doesn't work at this company, or in the USA. Thankfully, both of us live in the good ole USA. We have a legal system that loves to punish people like you.

Even if you do not decide to turn this case into a fraud lawsuit by issuing a chargeback, this company can still sue you, to the point at which I personally get bored of it, based on your threats alone. If I decide to submit this case today, even if you do not submit a chargeback request, it would easily turn into a "Conspiracy to Commit Fraud" lawsuit, which has the same legal ramifications as committing fraud itself.

If I were you I would walk away from this if I were you and do the right thing which is to not issue a chargeback since you and I both know that you received a server, for not only the month you paid for, but a second month to which you did not pay for. Guess who paid for the second month of your server Alex?

Me, it came directly out of my pocket.

You stole from me once. If you plan on stealing from me again by means of a chargeback, I guarantee things for you are not going to be pretty.

We have offered you a good deal, a new server, and no charges for your missed payments. You have decided to make legal threats and I promise you, that if any of your threats become a reality, you are going to have very expensive legal problems.

I realize that you are probably a minor and that we are going to have to bring your mom and dad to court along with you to Florida, so keep that in mind when you decide what you would like to do next.

Now, I had a particularly nice day so I am feeling more generous than usual.

I will give you a final chance to walk away from this matter and withdraw my submissions to our legal and collections departments. This will happen upon your response to this ticket stating that you will not make any formal complaints to any website or agency, and that your attempt to commit fraud by issuing a chargeback will not happen, and that any payments that you have made to GlowHost.com, Inc will remain property of GlowHost.com, Inc unconditionally.

I would offer you this brand new server, and waive the month that you already owe us, but I have already tried that.

Now all I can do is offer to NOT sue you for even considering such a ridiculous idea of payment reversal.

I don't expect you to be a man and state that you will walk away from this matter, and I am not going to keep a sticky note on my desk to follow up on your intentions and beg or plea with you to not do something so foolish as to try to reverse your payment which you and I both know that you owe this company.

What that means is you have 48 hours to let me know that you are not going to issue any charge backs, and that you have not issued any complaints and will not in the future.

If you agree to that, I will remove our case from collections for the last month of service that you owe, the collections fee and early termination fee will be waived, and you and this company will "call it even."

If I do not see that email in 48 hours promise you that your threats will pale in comparison to my promises about making your life as miserable and expensive as I possibly can.

The choice is yours, I will wait 48 hours as I mentioned and then you leave me no other choice. I should have sent this to collections long ago, so this is your last chance at making things right.

#4 I emailed publiccomplaints.org about this including a copy of this ticket as well as several differen't complaint websites and soon it will be cached on google when people try to google your company name, just this is more than enough and worse than a chargeback because this is priceless if you understand what this is and how it affects a business.
