MailLinkPlus maillinkplus.com Review about the Privacy of your information with them
I called to inquire about the services that Mail Link Plus provides and to question about the privacy of their client information, and I spoke to Eric.
I asked if my personal information are secure within their company or not? If someone were to call and ask them to provide my name, address and ID would they? And if someone calls and pretends to be from a law enforcement agency to try and get my information, will they release my information? And would they just release my information to a law enforcement agency when asked or would they require a subpoena first?
Eric said that, they will not release the information to anyone, but if someone calls pretending from a law enforcement agency, what they'll do first is ask some questions and also ask for a call back number then they will call that person and provide them with the information they are requesting!
I advised Eric that this is not right, they should only release the client info if there is a subpoena, Eric said that that's not how they work, they don't want to annoy law enforcement and they will respond with whatever information they are asked for right away.
I would not feel safe about doing business with this company, if they were to release my info based on a subpoena then its ok but if not then I would not trust it because it could be someone pretending to be from a law enforcement, and there is a lot of identify theft that happens now a days so I wouldn't be surprised.
I reviewed the privacy policy and terms of conditions they have on their website www.maillinkplus.com and no where on there they mention about the privacy about the information they collect from their clients!.

Mail Forwarding companies should be discrete, that's one of the main purposes of getting a mail forwarding address! so that you use that address instead of yours.
As you described above, the way I see it is that they shouldn't be trusted, I like the way their website was designed and the service they offer and I was almost going to signup until I read what you said...
The question is where am I going to signup now? do you know which company I can trust??
Thank you.
If it means anything, I've used these guys for the last three years or so and have never had a problem. I live out of country and have things sent overseas regularly, so it's worthwhile renewing with them. Unfortunately, it looks like the website is down, which has never happened before. Would be a shame if they closed up shop, but luckily this was my last month anyway.
I had several problems with mail link plus, I would not recommend them as well.
